Mickey at the Mish
Mishawaka is a small, outdoor venue tucked in the Poudre River canyon outside of Ft. Collins, CO. The stage is 10 feet from the river, the stars bright overhead, and only 200 tix sold- a private dance party. A tech glitch forced an early set break.
Mickey acknowledged the beauty of the scene, and dedicated the show to the Spirits of the land. This venue sits in the middle of the burn area from big fire earlier this Summer. The Scarlet > Fire opening was excellent, full version then Mickey sang the original "rap" lyrics to Fire, highly processed, and excellent.
The second set was bookended by GD favorites, and as always Mickey and his band went deep. Once section features a long vocal duet between Mickey and Crystal, Mickey singing the Indian drum beats and Crystal responding in some pre-language, a giant Supralingua jam!
Great venue, great music! Thanks to the taper for bringing this to us.
